Literacy And Numeracy
Building essential reading and maths skills
Our projects strengthen the foundation skills of reading, writing and numeracy. Last year we supported 2200 learners. We believe in every learner’s right to express themselves and understand the world clearly.
ECD And Aftercare
A strong focus on early child development
Recognising that the foundation for future learning is built in the early years, Enlighten has made early child development (ECD) a flagship initiative. The programme benefit over 3000 children (0-5 years) a year. The Trust is also assisting the work of the Department of Social Development with registering 35 aftercare facilities that accommodate some 500 children.
Tools For Learning And Life Skills
Practical skills for everyday life
Our e-learning, music and art programmes support learning in the core areas of the curriculum. They encourage discipline, problem solving and team work via hands-on experience using computers, creating art and craft projects and taking part in musical performances. These projects reached 1840 children in 2024.
